The MITH [The Maryland Institute for Technology in the Humanities]
project at The University of Maryland is seeking matching funds for skilled
female graduate student labor to create a women's radio archive on their web
site. This is a co-project in development with WINGS: Women's International
News Gathering Service, whose 15-year archive of radio shows and recordings

Radio Production and Distribution - International
WINGS: Women's International News Gathering Service is a famous
independently syndicated radio program by and about women around the world.
All contributions warmly appreciated and put to good use for getting women's
information and voices onto the radio. Sample needs: subsidized
subscriptions for low-budget radio stations ($400/year per); resident
internships for reporters from less developed regions ($2,000-$5,000,
including equipment, travel, and stipend); upgrade distribution from
cassette to CD ($4,000); endowment for longterm sustainability.

Women's Community Radio Networking and Development - International
AMARC -- the Montreal-based World Association of Community Radio
Broadcasters has a Women's International Network that supports women's
networking and training for the community radio movement. The women's
network is seeking funding for regional coordination, training of trainers,
and project development in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America; for
support of its half-time international coordinator; and for travel grants
for women to attend the next AMARC World Conference, scheduled for Katmandu,

Netcasting - International
FIRE (Feminist International Radio Endeavour) www.fire.or.cr provides live
coverage over internet of women's conferences worldwide, as well as training
sessions in this technology. Their web site also incorporates audio clips
